Phoibo ("the app") is an audio player for music and podcasts. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. Phoibo is designed to keep your data on your device.

1. Data we collect

Phoibo does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data to us or to third parties. We do not operate any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The developer has no servers and receives no user data.

2. Data stored on your device

• Library and playlists: tracks, playlists, listening position and favourites are stored locally on your device.
• Telegram bot token: if you connect a Telegram source, the bot token you provide is stored locally on your device and is used only to talk to Telegram's official API. It is never sent anywhere else.
• Downloaded files: audio you choose to download for offline playback is stored in the app's private storage and can be deleted from within the app at any time.
• Settings: preferences such as theme are stored locally.

3. Network access

Phoibo connects to the internet only to:

• Communicate with the Telegram Bot API (api.telegram.org) when you add a Telegram source, in order to read audio messages and stream or download them. This is initiated by you and uses the bot token you provided.
• Stream audio you choose to play.

Your use of Telegram is also subject to Telegram's own Privacy Policy.

4. Device permissions

• Audio / storage access: to read audio files from folders you select on your device.
• Foreground service & notifications: to play audio in the background and show playback controls.
• Network: for streaming and Telegram synchronisation.

5. Content responsibility

Phoibo is a media player. It does not host or provide any audio content. Any audio played comes from files on your device or from Telegram groups/channels you connect. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and play that content.

6. Children

Phoibo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
